What this site is
kaomojis.pro is a library of kaomoji, the small faces made from text characters. We built it because many kaomoji sites are hard to use on a phone, bury the faces under ads, or do not explain what a face means.
Who is behind it
kaomojis.pro is a small independent project, run under the brand name kaomojis.pro. We do not publish personal names on the site, so email is the best way to reach us. Write to contact@kaomojis.pro.
How the list is curated
We do not hand-write every face, and we do not claim to be experts in Japanese culture or typography. The library comes from a data pipeline. Our own tools combine parts such as eyes, mouths and arms, and AI models propose more faces.
Scripts then filter everything. Color emoji are removed, duplicates are merged, and every character is checked against real system fonts, so faces that would show as empty boxes are dropped. An AI model adds a short meaning, a tone and a quality score to each face, and a person reviewed samples of the result before publishing.
This means a meaning can be wrong, and a face can look different on your device. The editorial standards page has the full list of checks.
What you can do here
- Find faces by mood, animal or action, or search with plain words.
- Copy any face with one tap.
- Use a Discord-safe copy for faces that contain characters Discord would turn into formatting.
- Save favourites and see your recently copied faces. Both lists stay in your own browser.
- See a small label on faces that may not show on older devices.
- Build your own face in the Kaomoji Maker, or look up a face on the Kaomoji Meaning page.
Everything is free. There are no accounts and nothing to install.
Independence
We are not connected to Discord, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, X or any other app we mention. We name them only to explain where a face works and how to paste it.
