Hamster and Mouse Kaomoji

Tiny faces, tiny symbols

Hamsters and mice are drawn with small, round symbols so they look little.

• The hamster: ʢ and ʡ on the sides are round ears, as in ʢ•ᴗ•ʡ.
• The mouse: ᘛ⁐ᕐᐷ is a whole mouse seen from the side, with a nose, a round body and a tail.
• The pouty critter: (っ- ‸ - ς) holds its puffy cheeks, a very hamster thing to do.

Cute, but check your phone

Most faces in this group use rare letters to look small and round, so they carry the label “may not show on older devices”. They look great on newer phones and in apps with good font support. If you want a tiny critter that shows almost everywhere, the pouting cheek face uses common characters.

Little gifts and messages

Small animals feel gentle, so they suit soft messages. A mouse carrying a letter, ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐷつ✉, is a sweet “you’ve got mail”. A sleepy hamster says “I’m off to bed”. A running mouse is a quick “on my way!”. They also look lovely as a tiny mark at the end of a bio.
