Excited Kaomoji

Excited is happy with energy

A happy face is content. An excited face is about to jump. You can see the energy in three places:

• Eyes: stars ☆ or sparkles ✧ for eyes, like (☆▽☆), mean “I can’t believe it!”
• Arms: both arms up, as in ＼(≧▽≦)／, is a cheer.
• Shaking: brackets on both sides, as in (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))), show a body trembling with joy.

Moments that call for one

• Counting down to a trip, a concert or a new chapter.
• A friend tells you they got accepted somewhere.
• A package you waited for has arrived.
• Cheering a friend before a test, with a fist pump.

Too much hype?

Excited faces are loud. One face is great; a wall of them can bury the actual message. For a calm workplace chat, a simple thumbs up may fit better. Some excited faces use * next to the eyes. On Discord, use the Discord-safe copy so the stars do not turn your message into italics.

Cheering someone on

Excited faces are also how you hype up a friend. Before a big test, a match or a job interview, a determined face like (*`･ω･´*) says “you can do this!”. After it goes well, switch to a cheering face with both arms up.
