Legs made of slashes
The classic spider puts bent legs on either side of the face: /╲/\╭(•‿•)╮/\╱\. Read /╲/\ on the left as legs bending at the knee, and /\╱\ on the right as the mirror image. The ╭ ╮ beside the face are the short front feelers. A simpler spider uses only slashes from your keyboard, like ///\(^_^)/\\\.
Cute or creepy
Cute: a soft smile or heart eyes, like /╲/\╭(♥‿♥)╮/\╱\.
Creepy: real spiders have several eyes, so faces such as /╲/\╭(ఠఠ益ఠఠ)╮/\╱\ draw two pairs, with gritted teeth in the middle.
Shocked:/╲/\╭(°□° )╮/\╱\ for a spider that just saw a broom.
Before you post one
Spider faces are long, so they suit messages better than names. They also contain backslashes, which Discord treats as an escape mark and hides, taking a leg with it. When you copy a spider here, the toast offers a Discord-safe version that keeps every leg. The many-eyed faces borrow letters from Telugu and Kannada and carry the device label. For a short version, a single pair of legs on each side, like /\(O.O)/\, still reads as a spider.
Questions
How do you type spider legs in a kaomoji?
Use /╲/\ on the left and /\╱\ on the right, or plain ///\ and /\\\ from your keyboard.
Why do some spiders have doubled eyes?
Real spiders have several eyes, so faces like (ఠఠ益ఠఠ) draw two pairs.
Why does my spider lose a leg on Discord?
Discord hides backslashes. Use the Discord-safe copy, which adds an extra backslash before each one.
