A guide to kaomoji hands

Hands are what turn a face into an action. Here are the most common ones:

• つ っ reaching out or offering something.
• ⊂ ⊃ open arms for a hug.
• ﾉ ヾ waving.
• ∩ raised hands, or hands hiding the eyes, as in (*∩ω∩).
• 人 palms pressed together, for please, sorry or thanks.
• b d thumbs up, ゞ salute, ☞ pointing.
• ٩ و fists raised in a cheer.

Gestures worth knowing

• High five: (*°▽°*)八(*°▽°*), two hands meeting in the middle.
• Peeking: (つд⊂), hands over the eyes, crying or peeking through.
• Giving a gift: a flower or letter held out with っ.
• Peace sign: a v beside the face.
